MediciGlobal Expands Outreach to Patients Worldwide With Two New Appointments

Clinical trial marketing firm responds to growing worldwide demand

May 15, 2008, King of Prussia, PA - MediciGlobal, the global leader in marketing clinical trials directly to patients, caregivers and health professionals has further expanded its capabilities and client offerings with the addition of two professionals experienced in patient advocacy and community relations. 

In their new roles, Kathryn Martin joins MediciGlobal as Manager of Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy, and CarlaAnn Henry joins as Community Outreach Site Strategist, both working under the direction of Lisa Fell, Chief Operating Officer.

Martin has nearly 10 years healthcare marketing and communications experience, and is creating innovative and strategic patient advocacy programs that support recruitment and retention of patients in clinical trials across the globe. In her new position she is utilizing research based on health communication models to evaluate target audiences to deliver tailored messages to make an impact on client’s studies. Martin is also initiating partnerships with global, national and local patient advocacy organizations and support groups to create patient education materials at the appropriate literacy level. Martin most recently served as marketing manager at Wolters Kluwer Health, a medical publishing company with responsibility for creating marketing and sales strategies, internet marketing, retail merchandising and direct mail programs for the nursing publications division. She was also a marketing consultant to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary with responsibility for building patient awareness of the hospital’s Facial Nerve Center among physicians and patients and worked with Cone Inc., a brand strategy and cause marketing agency supporting both the National Osteoporosis Foundation and the American

Henry who has over 15 years experience in healthcare and community outreach experience, is responsible for fostering relationships with varied health communities worldwide to assist with recruiting and retaining patients in clinical trials. Having had the experience of working with patients and “putting herself in their shoes,” she’s identifies with patient needs and to translate the experiences into actionable programs that reach patients.  Henry most recently served as Senior Research Recruitment Coordinator and Community Affairs Liaison for the Brain Behavior Lab at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was responsible for recruiting patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder for neurocognitive research.
