Deb Baldwin is the Vice President of Finance and Human Resources with MediciGlobal, the global leader in marketing clinical trials directly to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals. With over 23 years of experience in accounting and finance, Deb has managed all aspects of corporate finance and applies this knowledge on behalf of MediciGlobal’s clients. She assures that each recruitment and retention strategy recommended by MediciGlobal’s operations teams is designed for maximum cost efficiency and return on investment for its clients.
Deb is responsible for the day–to–day accounting and finance activities, planning, treasury, legal, human resources, risk management and general services for MediciGroup Inc. and its United Kingdom affiliate MediciGlobal Ltd., collectively MediciGlobal. Deb maintains Medici’s global Disaster Recovery Plan, ensuring its ongoing review and testing, and is instrumental in formulating new policies and standards.
Deb spent her first eight years in public accounting at the national (U.S. based) accounting firm of Laventhol and Horwath. After leaving her manager position there, Deb worked for nine years at Margolis and Company, a regional accounting firm. During her years in public accounting, Deb provided financial, tax, operational and consulting services to a diverse client base. Deb has also volunteered her accounting skills for various not‐for‐profit organisations.
Prior to taking a position at MediciGlobal, Deb was the Chief Financial Officer of Triangle Container Corporation, a privately owned manufacturer of corrugated boxes and point of purchase displays. Deb managed the accounting department, which included oversight responsibilities for financial reporting and credit and collections, preparing the annual budget and monthly forecasts, designing and implementing a system of internal controls and procedures, negotiating bank and third party financing, all treasury functions, and certain human resource and administrative responsibilities.
Deb is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accountants, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Temple University. Deb holds a Certified Public Account (CPA) license in Pennsylvania.
