Logo and Brand History
Our company name was selected for a purpose. In times when military units policed the ancient world the “Medici” were the medical corps assigned to the troops in the Roman legions. It was necessary to keep these legions in fighting health to continue the expansion of the Roman Empire.
The Medici were valued for their knowledge, recognised for their creative ingenuity in medical arts, and rewarded for meeting their primary objective—keeping the troops healthy “with their boots to the ground.” The Medici symbolised what the new company wanted to stand for.
Like the Medici of old, MediciGlobal keeps high standards of expertise, ingenuity, and dedication in serving the legions of clinical scientists in today’s bio-pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Additionally, the company teaches people about the benefits of clinical research and encourages them to be part of the research process.
MediciGlobal designers combined the letterforms “M” and “G” with the ancient symbolism of the caduceus (snake) and the traditional medical symbol, the rod of Asclepius. The caduceus or snake is a symbol for healing the sick through medicine. The Asclepius consists of a serpent entwined around a staff and is a symbol of the son of Apollo - a practitioner of medicine in ancient Greek mythology.
These symbols for health, healing and protection featured prominently in the development of our logo. It represents MediciGlobal’s lasting commitment to advancing the patient recruitment and retention industry.
