Challenge

  • To reduce the 23% drop-out rate prior to program-launch and to foster compliance to this generally non-compliant population over the course of three years.

Solutions

  • A print and web-based “Rapid Response” program was developed with a phased-in approach to provide topical information and support tools to both sites and patients highlighting the importance of subject participation and diabetes prevention.

Result

  • Post-program launch, monthly discontinuations decreased by half. With the program entering its third year, retention rates remain strong as the study approaches data lock.

Project Scope: A comprehensive patient retention program to support both subjects and sites in this three year, placebo controlled, US-based study.
