Partial-Onset Epileptic Seizures Study
for Neurology

Challenge

  • Develop a rapid launch program to recruit people aged 16 and over who have uncontrolled partial-onset seizures due to epilepsy, across the US and Canada. Develop a range of materials to maximize patient retention.

Solutions

  • A phased launch campaign was initiated, with the first wave of materials including a website, eMNR (electronic media news release), site kit materials, and offline advertisements. As with all MediciGlobal studies, to accelerate speed to launch, a series of patient surveys were conducted during the proposal phase, collecting audience insights, as well as contact information from people interested in participating in the study.
  • A series of empowering and educational booklets were created, offering helpful study-related information, and supporting people living with epilepsy who have uncontrolled partial-onset seizures, by offering helpful advice.

Result

  • Contact details for over 400 people were collected during the pre-launch phase. This created a live contact database of potential participants to contact when the study materials were approved by the IRB.
  • The study is currently recruiting.

Project Scope: Develop a rapid launch campaign to recruit people aged 16 and over who are living with epilepsy and have uncontrolled partial-onset seizures. Maximize the chances of study success by creating a patient retention program.
