Melissa Cabral contributes a wealth of experience to her role on MediciGlobal’s project management team.  For over 13 years, she has honed her project management skills throughout the scientific and research communities.  In keeping with her pursuit of excellence, Ms. Cabral’s extensive science background is further enriched by her Ph.D. studies in biopsychology.

Her involvement in clinical trial research provides the perfect intersection of in-depth training, practical knowledge and patient-centric priorities.  She has always been particularly interested in enriching her understanding of what motivates patients to enter and remain in clinical research trials.  Ms. Cabral’s commitment to both effective results as well as the people behind the numbers has proven a tremendous asset to MediciGlobal’s patient-centric recruitment approach.

While contributing her skills to the NYU School of Medicine Aging and Dementia Research Center, she had the opportunity to coordinate patient recruitment efforts while overseeing all grant funding from both public and private sectors.  This therapeutic experience with neurology and Alzheimer’s disease has continued to grow through her career with the country’s most venerable institutions.  At the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center, Ms. Cabral’s focus on oncology laid the foundation for her current leadership role with MediciGlobal.  Her experience as a whole has encompassed all aspects of effective clinical trial management from coordination responsibilities to journal editing duties and recruitment strategy development.

She brings a nuanced understanding of effective patient recruitment cultivated through her years of experience.  At MediciGlobal, Ms. Cabral’s role draws on her talents of guiding clinical teams through the patient recruitment process while developing and innovating retention strategies that deliver results. In addition, she coordinates the execution of patient recruitment programs both domestically and abroad while devoting her efforts to maintaining a patient-centric experience.  At MediciGlobal, she serves another vital role in training investigators and study coordinators on effective communication that will further improve relations between patients and researchers.
