Elizabeth (Liz) Moench
President and CEO
Liz Moench is the President and founder of MediciGlobal. Liz founded the company in 1991, and has been dedicating her efforts to improving the patient recruitment and retention process in clinical trials worldwide, and leading the industry in creativity and systems for recruitment and retention on a global basis.
Utilising her extensive background in direct‐to‐patient marketing, Liz brought clinical research studies and patients together to help achieve important results. Through talent and applied knowledge gained from industry experience, she oversees programmes that help pharmaceutical and biotech companies achieve their patient recruitment and retention goals. She currently divides her time between the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to founding MediciGlobal, Liz served as corporate Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs of the worldwide corporate management committee of Rhone‐Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals managing a team based in the U.S. and in France (now sanofi‐aventis). She launched the first proactive patient recruitment program for the cancer drug Taxotere®. Previously, Liz was Executive Director of Public Affairs at the Swiss giant Ciba‐Geigy Pharmaceuticals Division (now Novartis), a position she held for over six years with extensive travel to Switzerland. During this time, she managed, developed, and directed a broad range of strategic public relations programmes including the launch of five major drugs. Before joining Ciba‐Geigy, Liz served as Director of Communications for U.K. based Boots Pharmaceuticals, where she launched the first ever direct‐to‐consumer advertising campaign in the pharmaceutical industry for ibuprofen.
Liz has been active in leading industry associations including serving as Advisory Board Member to the Drug Information Association (DIA) and as a Past Chairperson to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufactures of America (PhRMA) Public Affairs Section. Liz is also a frequent contributing speaker to the following organisations including the Drug Information Association (DIA), Food Drug Law Institute (FDLI), The Association of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and The National Council on Patient Information and Education (NCPIE).
Liz has received numerous marketing/communications awards including:
- PharmaVoice Top 100 ‐ recognised as one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry in 2005.
- Gold Quill ‐ International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), for a book she co‐authored on the use of animals in research.

Liz holds degrees in marketing and medical technology from Lamar University. She holds dual citizenship in the UK and U.S.
