Account Management (EU)
Hema is a Senior Account Manager in the EU office of MediciGlobal. With over 6 years of early phase clinical project management experience, as well as years of sales and customer service experience, Hema applies her clinical research knowledge and project management skills to the development of innovative strategies to reach and inform patients about clinical trials. With a global focus, Hema is actively involved in managing a range of patient recruitment and retention programs, and providing insight on others.
Hema identifies and implements processes and strategies to maximise patient recruitment and retention, such as structured patient communication plans that are supported by project planning tools. She is also creative in her approach regarding recruitment and retention materials, as well as initiatives that assist patients and their families in making informed decisions about study participation. Hema has a proven record of high quality and efficient project management to ensure that projects and programs are effectively targeted and completed on time and within budget.
With a good foundation and understanding of the complexities and challenges in clinical trials, Hema can take on complex studies where multi-channel recruitment outreach to referring physicians and targeted patient populations is required.
Before joining MediciGlobal, Hema was a Senior Project Manager working in early phase (phase I – IIa) clinical research within a clinical trials unit. As well as managing projects and programs including patient recruitment strategies, medical writing and review, and liaising with ethics committees, Hema also managed a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, providing mentoring and project oversight.
Hema studied Pharmacology at the University of Hertfordshire in England, and professional training includes PRINCE 2 and APMP certification.
